15 years ago,
I started my career as a professional musician
And while promoting my music I realised this 'marketing thing' was non-negotiable.​​​​ But once I learned how to market myself, I let go of the frantic panicking, enjoyed an incredible music career and I fell in love with marketing through the process!
It's like an extension of my creativity, a mix of theory and practise, so in 2017 I took a marketing internship, got trained up on-the-job and became a freelance marketer working with theatre companies and nonprofits.
​Then I started own heart-led, online business in 2021
That was when I first noticed that a lot of the marketing information out there strongly promotes hustle-culture and doesn't feel very human-centric, or even ethical at that!
I am deeply driven to make a strong, positive impact for my clients, but as my business grew I was getting bombarded with Facebook ads from so-called 'marketing gurus' banging on about 10k months or 6-figure years...all completely ignoring the fact that I started my business because I love what I do and want to make a difference in the world.
And I know from experience that powerful marketing can be clear, simple and hustle-free, but much of the advice targeted at us, over complicates the process, feels really pushy and is full of jargon and theory.
I was tired of all the scammy, unethical, grifting I was seeing online
