How I helped launch Rise & Release, a membership for women learning music tech - creating workshops, audio guides, and onboarding content that welcomed 70+ students in just 6 months

The Brief
Girls Twiddling Knobs is an audio education platform and podcast supporting women in music tech. I joined the team during a pivotal moment: the launch of their first online membership program, Rise & Release.
My role was to support the founder in the end-to-end creation and launching the new membership as a sustainable revenue stream, while also creating a seamless and engaging onboarding experience for new members.
The challenge was to not only launch successfully, but to keep the community active, connected, and supported - through clear content, consistent messaging, and smart systems.


What I Did
Launch, Content & Strategy

Co-developed the launch strategy and campaign for Rise & Release, shaping messaging across email, Instagram, and member communications​

Created onboarding flows and weekly engagement emails to build trust, encourage exploration, and support retention

Scheduled and managed regular content campaigns for a 10K+ Instagram audience and 11K+ email list using Mailchimp, Descript, Canva, and Zapier
Educational Content & Community Engagement​

Outlined & designed monthly digital workshops including slide creation, editing, and supplementary resources

Created audio and video guides, templates, and community prompts to help members take action and engage with learning material

Supported feedback systems by gathering user insights and adjusting content based on member needs

Systems & Tools

Built the backend infrastructure using Searchie, created all the initial onboarding content inside the platform, automated resource delivery and streamlined the member experience

Maintained in-platform content organisation and navigation to reduce friction and boost long-term engagement

Helped successfully launch Rise & Release to 70+ founding members, generating £20K in revenue in the first campaign
